How To Make Crostini

Quick and easy crostini recipe! Learn how to make crostini at home using a handful of ingredients. It is oven baked and can also be made in an air fryer.

Equipment

  • serrated knife
  • pastry brush

Ingredients
  

  • 1 long French baguette
  • 3 tbsb Extra virgin olive oil
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 large garlic clove minced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven at 200C/400F and get the baking tray ready. Line it with a parchment paper if you prefer.
  • To a small mixing bowl combine olive oil, minced garlic and salt and set aside
  • Slice the baguette thinly into about ½ inch, you can cut the bread diagonally too if you would prefer
  • Brush each slices of bread on both sides with the garlic oil. place the bread on the baking tray in a single layer.
  • Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Flip the crostini 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Bring it out of the oven make sure it cools completely before storing.
  • Serve with toppings of choice as desired.

Notes

How to store
Make sure it is cooled completely and store in an airtight container or a Ziploc bag for up to 5 days. It is important that it is stored in an airtight container as exposure to moisture can result in a soft and stale crostini.
