I seasoned my potatoes with these simple pantry staples ingredients smoked paprika, onion granules, garlic granules, parsley, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. I added little oil as this helps the seasoning stick on the spud.
How to cut potato wedges
Start with a clean and dry potato. You will be needing a sharp knife and a chopping board for this job.
Place the large potato on a chopping board and cut it into halves lengthwise. Then cut one half into four wedges, smaller-sized potatoes can be cut into 2 or 3 pieces.
If using a large spud then you should have about 8 to 10 wedges from one potato depending on the size.

Preheat the oven at 200C/400F and prepare the baking tray, if using a non-stick sheet, there will be no need to line with parchment paper, simply spray with a cooking spray and set aside
Wash and pat the potatoes dry then cut into wedges. Transfer the wedges to a large bowl and drizzle with oil and mix to combine with your hands. Add smoked paprika, garlic granules, onion granules, parsley, grated parmesan, salt, and pepper and toss to combine.
Transfer the seasoned potatoes to a baking sheet and spread them in a single layer. Bake in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes flipping in halfway through or until the wedges are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Remove it from the oven, garnish with more parmesan cheese and parsley and serve as desired.
How to cook potato wedges in the air fryer
If cooking in the air fryer, preheat the air fryer and spray with cooking oil. Season the potatoes as described above and spread them in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 200C/400F for 12 to 15 minutes depending on the thickness of the wedges. Flip it once to ensure even cooking.

- Make sure to cut the wedges into similar sizes so that they cook evenly and almost at the same time.
- Cook the potatoes at a high temperature to ensure crispness
- line the baking sheet with a parchment paper if not using a non-stick baking sheet.

Potato wedges are best served immediately when it is still hot or warm. It tends to go less crunchy as it cools, however, it can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Make sure it cools completely, transfer to an airtight bowl, and store in the fridge
