Ingredients
Fresh raw whole chicken wings (about 11 whole chicken wings)
Cajun seasoning, I used homemade or store-bought
Garlic granules substitute with garlic powder
Olive oil substitute with any other neutral cooking oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
How to cook whole chicken wings in the air fryer
Preheat the air fryer at 180ºC /360ºF for at least 5 minutes, while you prepare the rest of your ingredients.
Pat chicken wings dry with a kitchen paper towel and add to a large mixing bowl.
Add all the seasoning ingredients to the chicken wings and mix well to combine, making sure each wing is evenly coated in the seasoned oil.
Arrange the whole chicken wings in the preheated air fryer basket and air fry at 180ºC (360ºF) for 10 minutes, making sure not to overcrowd the basket.
Using tongs or two forks, carefully flip the chicken wings and continue to cook at 200ºC/400ºF for another 5-10 minutes until fully cooked, tender on the inside, and crispy and golden on the outside. If you have a thermometer, you can check the internal temperature of the chicken wings is at least 74ºC (165ºF).
Oven instructions
Preheat the oven to 180C / 360F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Pat the whole wings dry with a kitchen paper towel and transfer to a large bowl.
Add all the seasoning ingredients to the wings and mix well to combine, making sure each wing is evenly covered in the seasoning.
Arrange your seasoned chicken wings in your tray in a single layer, making sure the wings don’t touch or overlap.
Bake in the oven at 180C / 360F for 15 minutes flip the wings and cook for another 10-15 minutes at 200C / 400F or until golden with crispy skin, and cooked through.
