If you love mayonnaise or Dijon mustard then you will love the combination of these two ingredients.

mayonnaise with dijon mustard combo makes the best yet creamy and luxurious tangy delicious sauce that will turn every sandwich, salad, burger and fries dish into a gourmet feast. All you will need is mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. I am using storebought mayonnaise for this recipe however you can make your own homemade mayonnaise with just 4 ingredients using an immersion blender or a food processor.

Once you start making yours at home, you will stop wondering what happened to Hellmann's dijonnaise. It is very easy and super quick too!

    What is Dijonnaise?

Dijonnaise is none other than the blend of the finest Dijon Mustard and best quality mayonnaise. This unique condiment is a secret weapon in your kitchen and you can make it under 2 minutes!

It is a classic in its purest form, with a perfect blend of mustard and mayonnaise that brings a little kick to the table. Add a little bit of all-natural lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to it, and it becomes the best condiment to spice up your sandwiches, fries and burgers.

Spread it on a sandwich. Dip your chips in it. Add it to your potato salad. Stir it into your mac and cheese. The sky is the limit! Dijonnaise lifts any dish to the next level. It's bold, tangy, and addictive.

Try Dijonnaise on fish, on burgers, in salads or wraps, for dipping fries, and veggies and many more.

Why will you love this sauce

    • You will love Dijonnaise because it is insanely quick and effortless to make. This sauce will be your best bet when you have guests arriving on short notice or hosting a crowd. I made it in two minutes, and that too without measuring, cooking, or baking anything!
    • You only need two essential ingredients, and it's done. Use it as a spread on burgers, sandwiches, and wraps, or as an ingredient in salads, dressings, or marinades. This is a perfect last-minute addition to your plans as it takes less than two minutes to make, and you can throw in any veggies

    What you’ll need

To make this quick and easy condiment, you will need the following ingredients

Mayonnaise: this doesn't have to be Hellman's, any storebought full-fat mayonnaise would work just fine for this recipe.

Dijon Mustard: this condiment has a mild flavor, yet it is savory and slightly tangy. It is often used to flavor vinaigrettes, marinades, and mustard sauces. Do not mistake this for yellow mustard, however, you can substitute it for wholegrain mustard.

Salt and Pepper: add salt and pepper to taste.

    Flavor variations

    • Add lemon juice or zest for a tangy twist.
    • Cajun seasoning: do not knock this until you try it, start with about 1 teaspoon and then adjust to taste.
    • Add hot sauce such as Tabasco or sriracha for added spice.

    How to make Dijonnaise

In a bowl add mayonnaise and mayonnaise and whisk to combine.

Season with salt and pepper according to your taste. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator until needed.

    How to store

This homemade dijjonaise will last for up to 4 weeks or even longer in the fridge in an airtight container. Avoid dipping into the sauce directly with food to avoid contamination.

What is the best ratio to use

The right amount of Dijon mustard to use depends on your taste. However, it's best to start with ½ cup mayonnaise to 1-2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard.

The best Dijonnaise ratio is a matter of personal preference. You might find yourself adding more ingredients to make your favorite mixture! Follow the amounts suggested above and start building Dijonnaise to your flavor.
